Sarah Wood in a long black dress is walking barefoot through a room with large glass doors, sunlight casting shadows, and greenery outside. The room is decorated with framed pictures and hanging light fixtures.

COOROORA STREET HOUSE

Sunshine Coast — Personal Residence

A study in biophilic design.

Our first home on the Sunshine Coast — purchased sight unseen when we fled Melbourne for a different kind of life. We arrived as outsiders and let the land tell us what to build.

Cooroora House blurs the line between indoors and out — a tranquil retreat that connects deeply to the rhythms of nature.

The bathroom feels like a sanctuary, layered with Tundra-look tiles that evoke the calm of stone worn smooth by water. Gentle light moves across the surface, creating a sense of stillness and ease.

Throughout the home, texture tells the story — luxurious wool carpet underfoot, sea grass wallpapered cupboard doors, and natural finishes that invite touch and warmth. Every detail considered, grounding luxury in simplicity, and beauty in connection.
